HATE THE SIN NOT THE SINNER

HATE THE SIN NOT THE SINNER

Before you say "Amen", just know that’s not from the Bible—it’s a quote from Gandhi in 1929.

As a matter of fact, that cliche goes against what the Bible really teaches.

The truth is, sin isn’t some inanimate object floating around out there. It doesn’t exist outside of the person.

Sin is what people do—it's willful rebellion against God, coming from the heart, the mind, and the will.

God doesn’t send “sin” to hell. He holds sinners accountable.

“The soul who sins shall die.” (Ezekiel 18:4)

Yes, God is merciful. He calls sinners to repent and be reborn—not by ignoring their sin, but by putting their old self to death and creating something new in Christ (2 Cor. 5:17).

Sin can’t be separated from the sinner—until the sinner is separated from sin by the power of the cross.
