Explaining why these holidays are not Christian and should not be celebrated by Christians. Showing that God actually commands His people not to celebrate these holidays.
The purpose of this book is not to attack sincere believers. Many good people hold premillennial views. The purpose is simply to ask whether the Bible actually teaches what many of us have been told it teaches. Let us put prophecy charts aside for a moment. Let us forget what popular books say. Let us forget what movies say. Let us simply open the Bible and follow the evidence wherever it leads.
A book about how the same demons behind the false gods of the past still exist today and how we can identify them.
The modern church lobby looks a lot like a line at the pharmacy in Walgreens. "Over-the-Counter Christianity" is a metaphor for a faith that is accessible, low-risk, and self-selected, much like buying aspirin at a convenience store.
It describes a version of faith where you don't need a "prescription" from a Sovereign King (which requires a diagnosis of sin and a commitment to change). Instead, you simply walk in, grab what makes you feel better, and leave without ever having to speak to the person in charge.
