The Catholic goes to baptize the infant, but the Lutheran steps in and says, “You must HEAR the Word before being baptized!”

The Lutheran goes to baptize the person, but the Baptist steps in and says, “You must hear- and BELIEVE before being baptized!”

The Baptist goes to baptize the believer, but the Methodist Wesleyan steps in and says, “You must hear- believe- and REPENT before being baptized!”

The Methodist Wesleyan goes to baptize the believer, but the Pentecostal Charismatic steps in and says, “You must hear- believe- repent- and CONFESS your faith before being baptized!”

The Pentecostal Charismatic goes to baptize the believer, but the Church of Christ steps in and says, “You must hear- believe- repent- confess- and be baptized FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS."

The Church of Christ goes to baptize the believer, but the true follower of Christ steps in and says, “You must hear- believe- repent- confess- and be baptized for the forgiveness of sins- and also DIE to your old life and fully surrender to the Messiah, beginning a NEW life in Him!”

And so it is, baptism rightly divided, lacking nor adding anything.
