The Squeaky Wheel

The Squeaky Wheel

Imagine a squeaky wheel on a cart. Instead of helping the cart move forward smoothly, it constantly makes noise, drawing attention to itself. The other wheels are working hard, but the squeaky one complains with every turn, making the journey harder for everyone.

Now think about a complainer in the church. They focus on what’s wrong—the music is too loud, the sermon too long, the chairs too uncomfortable. Instead of helping push the ministry forward, they drain energy from others, creating friction and discouragement. While others are serving, encouraging, and working for the good of the church, the complainer makes noise but rarely contributes to fixing the issues they criticize.

Are you helping the church move forward, or are you just making noise? Squeaky wheel or driving force—which are you?
