Your Sin Will Find You Out
Your Sin Will Find You Out
Text: Numbers 32:23
I. Introduction
Scripture warns: “Be sure your sin will find you out.”
Sin cannot be hidden, excused, or buried.
But at this table, we are reminded that while sin exposes us—grace covers us.
II. The Reality of Sin
Sin ruins lives, homes, nations.
It always brings consequences (Romans 6:23).
On our own, we stand guilty before a holy God.
III. The Cross: Sin Exposed and Paid For
Communion reminds us that sin had to be dealt with.
Yeshua bore our sin on the cross—every hidden thought, every secret failure, every public shame.
What sin uncovers, the blood of Messiah covers completely.
IV. The Bread and the Cup
The bread reminds us of His body—broken because our sin could not be ignored.
The cup reminds us of His blood—poured out so our sin could be forgiven.
At this table we face the truth of our sin, but we also celebrate the greater truth of His grace.
V. Invitation to Examine Ourselves
Paul says: “Let a man examine himself” (1 Corinthians 11:28).
Communion is a moment of honesty—before God, nothing is hidden.
Confess. Repent. Remember.
Then take with joy, because forgiveness is real.
VI. Conclusion
Yes—your sin will find you out.
But here at the table, we find something greater:
Forgiveness instead of condemnation.
Mercy instead of wrath.
Eternal life instead of eternal death.
Today, as we take the bread and cup, let us remember:
Sin is serious.
The cross is sufficient.
And Yeshua is our only hope.
