Easter is Sinful
There is nothing in the Bible about this holiday. Zero commands. Zero examples. Zero apostolic teaching to observe it. The resurrection of Christ is clearly taught in Scripture but the Bible never ties it to a special annual festival called Easter or anything like it. The word Easter appears exactly once in the King James Bible in Acts 12:4 where it plainly means Passover the Jewish feast not some Christian holiday. Modern translators even change it to Passover because they know Easter does not belong there. That single mention exposes the fraud.
You rename the day Resurrection Sunday to cover your tracks. That very name change proves you know Easter is wrong and pagan at its root. If it were pure you would not need to rebrand it to sound more biblical. You are trying to hide the stench of idolatry with better sounding words.
The Bible itself reveals the pagan origins of what you call Easter. Jeremiah 7:18 and Jeremiah 44:17-19 and 25 describe the exact practices: the children gather wood the fathers kindle the fire and the women knead their dough to make cakes to the queen of heaven. They pour out drink offerings to her and burn incense. God calls this abomination that provokes His fierce anger. The queen of heaven was Ishtar or Ashtoreth the Babylonian fertility goddess whose worship involved spring rites of sex fertility and renewal. Her symbols included eggs for new life and rabbits for rapid breeding. Pagans celebrated her at the spring equinox with feasts and rituals timed to the return of light and life after winter. That is the direct source of your Easter eggs Easter bunnies hot cross buns and dawn focused celebrations. You took the queen of heaven worship and slapped Jesus on it. God hated it then and He hates it now.
Deuteronomy 12:30-32 slams the door on this compromise: Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them after they be destroyed from before thee and that thou inquire not after their gods saying How did these nations serve their gods even so will I do likewise. Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God for every abomination to the LORD which he hateth have they done unto their gods.
You are doing exactly what God forbids: taking pagan practices and redirecting them to Him. You know it is wrong which is why some of you desperately call it Resurrection Sunday while keeping every pagan trinket and custom intact. That rebranding is proof of guilty conscience. You sense the mixture is unclean yet you cling to it anyway.
Second Corinthians 6:14-17 commands separation: Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness and what communion hath light with darkness. Wherefore come out from among them and be ye separate saith the Lord and touch not the unclean thing.
Easter is unclean. It mixes the resurrection with fertility goddess rites condemned in Scripture. You participate you adopt the ways of false gods and apply them to the true God. That is sin plain and simple.
The resurrection needs no pagan holiday to be remembered. Believers honor it every time they take the Lord's Supper as Jesus commanded in Scripture. Easter adds nothing but idolatry. Ditch it completely. Repent of this compromise. Stop pretending a renamed pagan festival pleases God. Worship according to the Bible alone without any queen of heaven mixture.
God destroyed Israel for less. Do not think He will overlook your sanitized version today. True obedience leaves Easter in the trash where it belongs. Anything else is open rebellion against the clear Word of God.
