God Remembers

There was once a man who, through God’s mysterious ways, was allowed to travel 5000 years into the future.

As he arrived, he noticed a strange sight. People were celebrating a holiday about the crucifixion of Christ.

In every home, on June 6th there was a swastika made from a tree in the woods decorated with lights and garland and hung on the wall.

The people explained, “See, it is a cross pointing north, south, east, and west. It shows that Christ died for all people, everywhere!”

The man was appalled. He tried to tell them the truth: “Do you not remember what this emblem was used for? It was created by men for hatred, murder, and rebellion against God. You cannot take what was evil and make it about God!”

But the people laughed and said, “Those things no longer mean that. We have given them new meaning. Now they represent Christ.”

The man shook his head in sorrow and said, “Do you not understand? God remembers. He sees the origin of all things, the purpose for which they were created, and the hearts of those who use them. No matter how much you claim a symbol or day as "Merry", if it began in rebellion or evil, it is not pleasing to Him. Have you not read this in Deuteronomy chapter 12?”

The people continued to laugh and said "That's Old Testament"...
